Lianne Rutty could be considered an honorary Boy Scout. She got involved with the Cub Scouts when her oldest son was six and found herself helping wherever she could. Soon, she found herself as a Den Leader and “stuck with it.” She has served as s a merit badge counselor and now works with boys and girls seeking the rank of Eagle Scout. In addition to her efforts with the Boys Scouts, Lianne gives her time to the Shoreline Soup Kitchens and Pantries at the United Church of Chester and the Haddam Neck Fair. She has definitely earned her merit badge in selfless giving.
